Adorable Valentine's Day Dishware
I spotted these adorable dishes at Target yesterday and had to go back to get them today!! Only to find out they were on sale! Score!! I picked up the adorable mug for $6.79 (normally $7.99) and bowl for $3.39 (normally $3.99). I am completely obsessed with these and they will be accompanying me at the breakfast table every morning from here on out. :)

CVS Beauty Haul!
Hi Loves!
There were a lot of great deals at CVS on the makeup this week and I had a 25% off coupon as well as a $6 off a beauty purchase of $30 or more. I went a little coupon/deal crazy just to see how much I could save. I found a $1 off Covergirl eye makeup coupon online at coupons.com In store, there were a ton of great deals. My CVS had: Spend $15 on any Covergirl eye or lip and get $5 extrabucks. (which is basically a free $5 off on any future purchase.) They also had a deal for any two Neutrogena products purchased you get $6 extrabucks. On to the haul!
I picked up the Covergirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara and Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara (left)–both of which I have never tried but looked promising.
I also grabbed a couple of the Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencils which I LOVE (bottom left). I have the metallic brown called Melted Caramel Flame and I am obsessed. I decided to try Ginger Flame (shimmery pink gold. Almost a dupe for Urban Decay Sin) and Ashen Glow Flame (shimmery olive). They stay put all day long and are super easy!
The last two things I wanted to try were a Covergirl lipstick in Honeyed (a nice nude pink) and Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm in Sunny Berry (bottom right).
Total Before Coupons: $58.75
(when did the drugstore get so expensive?!)

Five Friday Faves {Self-Improvement}
Hello Loves!
This new weekly series is called Five Friday Faves (as I'm sure you can tell from the title.) Each week this series will have a different theme to the five items. For instance, this week is all about improving yourself to be the best you possible! Now this will mean something different for each person depending on your goals, however here are a few of mine.
What are your five favorites this week??

My new guitar! |
1. My Guitar:
This is has been my exciting purchase of the week! I have tried learning guitar for about eight or nine years now, but have never had the patience (or time) to stick with it. Right now I have been trying out new hobbies like photography and writing more and they have actually been sticking–so I figured now's the perfect time to learn guitar!2. Meditation:
I found this app, Headspace that not only teaches you how to meditate, but it walks you through a free 10 minute a day for 10 days program of meditation. After the 10 days you have more tools under your belt to continue meditating. I took a class in college that included, you guessed it, meditation. I found meditation very helpful throughout my college years to help focus and center myself, to get better sleep and to relieve stress. Best of all you can do it on your phone or computer to bring wherever you are!Raspberry, lemon & lime water! Yum! |
3. Drinking More Water:
It's always my mission to drink more water, but this week I really have been stepping up my game! It's crazy how much even slight dehydration can affect your body–fatigue, moodiness, skin issues and the list goes on. To aide in upping my water intake I have been adding fruits to my water! I love adding raspberries or strawberries with lemon and lime slices to a large mason jar of water and let it sit in the fridge. It really helps break up the monotony of drinking plain water, plus the fruits have some beneficial properties too!4. Removing Makeup Before Cleansing:
Okay so this one may seem like a no-brainer, but I rarely removed my makeup before I washed my face until I found the Trader Joes Micellar Cleansing Towelettes! I have been using them religiously each night before cleansing my face for about two weeks now and I have really noticed a big difference. Check out my full review here (I am also giving one away!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXddcTPo7tw5. Exercising:
This is a bit obvious when it comes to self-improvement, but I have fallen off the exercising wagon the last couple of weeks. It felt so good to take the step to start working out again. I eased into the transition by starting off with toning exercises at home like squats, lunges, planks, push-ups and those types of exercises. Then I work my way to the gym and add cardio into the mix. At this point it is crucial to set up designated gym times during the week. Mine is currently set to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday routine during the afternoon. What are your five favorites this week??

Trader Joes Micellar Cleanser Towelettes Review
Inexpensive face wipes that are gentle, yet still remove makeup and dirt? Sign me up! These little wonders ring in at a budget-friendly $3.99 and are worth every penny.
I have very sensitive skin and loved the Simple gentle makeup wipes–but these Trader Joes ones are even better! The cloths are so soft and saturated with cleanser. They also don't irritate or leave residue on your skin unlike most facial wipes.
These Micellar wipes are free of allergens, alcohol, colorants and parabens–making them super gentle. I use these wipes to take off my makeup and then cleanse with the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. I think these could be used purely as a cleanser, I just like to use an additional moisturizing cleanser each night.

All in all I am now obsessed with these face wipes! I recommend them if you can get your hands on some!
What is a micellar cleanser you ask? Here's how Trader Joe's explains it:
"basically,
molecule clusters made up of one side that attracts water, and one side
that repels it. When the towelettes are applied to your skin, these
molecules break apart, and whatever isn't water (i.e., dirt, makeup
residue, etc.) is gently pulled away from the skin." -Traderjoes.com

Finding Motivation
Today seriously lacked motivation–Am I the only one? I turned to the internet to find much needed motivation, more specifically I turned to Pinterest as per usual. Here are a couple of quotes I found especially helpful today and hopefully they will help you too!

Mug Makeover
'Tis the season of curling up with a cup of hot tea and cocoa (or coffee if that's your thing)! Forget boring drab mugs, we're spicing up your cupboards with these fab affordable finds from across the web!
I picked up all three of these from Anthropologie! They're called With A Twist Teacup. |
Monogram mugs are a favorite of mine. They're just so cute and personalized! The red one I picked up from Target–they have a variety of colors and initials. For a daintier version of the monogram mug, I love the adorable Homegrown Monogram Mug (right) from Anthropologie! (It's my absolute favorite mug.)

This simple pretty mug is from Target! |
I am obsessed with my Keurig to make teas, coffee and even hot cocoa! I even got all my friends and family hooked. It's so simple and makes a perfect cup every time. (Let me know if you want a full review.) Anyways, I also love using a tea cup to store my teas on the counter top. It's so much cuter than tea boxes and you can display a little selection of different teas!
I got my Keurig about two years ago on Amazon! Check them out here: http://amzn.to/Lgi4Dd
Where's your favorite place to buy cute mugs??

My Current Makeup Must-Haves!
With all the traveling I have been doing over the holidays, I have come to find a few makeup essentials while on the road that made life so much easier.
For face products I have been loving the L'Oreal BB Cream that is perfect for my oily skin as well as the Bare Minerals foundation! They are both super easy and quick to apply on the go.
For cheeks the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface is perfect because it adds a pop of pink and lasts for hours. I also am a fan of Benefits Dandelion Blush for a subtle pretty glow on the cheeks.
For eyes I have been keeping it pretty natural with just a swipe of Covergirl Lash Blast Volume in Black Brown. But on the days where I want a little something extra, my go-to is the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette–it has all of the neutral colors needed for a natural look or night out look.
